Sold to Belgium. Austin-Healey was a British sports car maker established in 1952 through a joint venture between the Austin division of the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and the Donald Healey Motor Company (Healey), a renowned automotive engineering and design firm. Leonard Lord represented BMC and Donald Healey his firm.

Our Austin Healey is a 3000MKI from 1959. The car was build on July 8-9th of 1959 and shipped  to Los Angeles on July 29th 1959. A British Motor Industry certificate comes with the car. In 1996, this Healey was imported to Holland and got a nut and bolt restoration in the UK by JME Healeys. Al the details of the work is documented. The car was turned into a rally spec car. Many changes have been made to improve the car’s performance and prepare it for rally use. Major components include leadfree aluminium cylinder head, 3 SU carburators, Tulip straight-cut gearbox, competition brake shoes/pads, uprated shock absorbers, alloy fuel tank, alloy body panels, side exhaust, Minilite centre-lock rims, louvred bonnet, bucket seats, tripmaster, battery cut-off switch, extra headlights, hardtop, Moto-Lita steering wheel, Willans harness,…….

The car is completely rustfree and has done only around 7000KM’s since the full rebuild. It drives great and it is the ideal car for regularity rally’s and fast road use.
